Fun Etsy Wedding Favors

August 1, 2011 in Wedding Planning

Sometimes you’ve got DIY desires that just don’t come to fruition. Either you’re too busy, too ambitious or just too clumsy. But you can still get DIY designs for your wedding without all that crafty hassle. Just BIO (buy it online).

Etsy is one of my absolute favorite websites to explore. I easily get lost in the virtual stores for hours (you know, on my own personal time … definitely not at work or anything … ).

Here are some fun etsy wedding favors that won’t pinch your paycheck too painfully:

Birdcage Favor Box: $2.38

Rather than having tacky candy wrappers strewn about your reception area, buy these adorable bird boxes and add some class to those candies. This favor isn’t just for your guests – it adds to the overall look and feel of your wedding. And your guests will enjoy a sweet snack after kicking it on the dance floor all night. Not a fan of black? Order it in your wedding color.

Bird Seed Hearts 125 for $160 = $1.28 per person

Ok. I guess I’m on a bird kick here. I love useful, environmentally-friendly gifts. These bird seed hearts are adorable, and your family and friends will think of you when they see birds in their backyard.

Spa Scrub 100 for $150 = $1.50 per person

Sometimes it’s hard to come up with an affordable favor that’s also indulgent. Your guests will be able to unwind after your wedding with this berrywine spa scrub. Plus it’s only $1.50 a pop!

Freshly Roasted Coffee 3 for $6.75 = $2.25 per person

Whether it’s to soothe a wedding hangover, or just for a random Sunday morning, this freshly roasted coffee would be a great wedding favor. Plus, the packaging is just so darn cute!

Glass Magnets 25 packs for $75 = $3 each

I love all my married friends – I really do! – but I’ve received a fair share of monogrammed wedding favors. And who wants to drink out of a lone “John & Sherry June 2011” wine glass? If you’re not John or Sherry, chances are you don’t need one.

So, this next Etsy pick is my personal favorite: extremely useful, adorable and memorable glass magnets. Every time you stick a shopping list to the fridge you’ll think of your friends Heidi and Dave.

What are you doing for your wedding? Are you making your own favors? How much would you spend on these gifts? Think favors are passé?
